The matches are open to the public, and take place on the polo grounds of historic Glen Farm in Portsmouth, a bucolic village on the outskirts of Newport ~ America's famed seaside resort where polo first took root in America!.  Glen Farm was once an seven-hundred acre manorial farm reputed for breeding prized livestock in its glory days during the late nineteenth century.  Today, it remains a landmark of excellence with the last one hundred acres preserved in the polo fields surrounding the barn complex, and outlined by miles of fieldstone walls.  Giant Linden trees planted in the 1890's line its allée drive ~ 'Linden Lane' ~ offering a rare living canopy entrance.  Its classical stone barns from the Gilded Age and its park-like grounds were rehabilitated by the Polo Series' founder and thrive today as a vital equestrian and recreational community property, and the jewel of Portsmouth.  Read about Glen Farm's fascinating colonial history dating back to the 1600's!
