The Portsmouth Conservation Commission and Solid Waste/Recycling Committee are co-hosting an Earth Day celebration in the Clements' Market parking lot on April 16 from 9 am to 2 pm. The celebration will include an URI Ask a Master Gardener Booth and the URI Master Gardener Soil Testers, Master Composter display with worm bin, displays by the Aquidneck Land Trust, RISE, Water and Fire District and Save the Bay. Come learn how to improve Portsmouth's environment while saving money and have a soil test. There will be a document shredding truck for your sensitive papers available from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
