Portsmouth Garden Club members will be at the Island Garden Shop, 54 Bristol Ferry Road, Portsmouth, on Thursday, May 24th from 9am to 5pm for the Club's annual "Plant Day". Members will be available to assist with your selections, location of plants and to answer your questions.
Martin Van Hof will hold 2 free workshops in the afternoon: "Proper Pruning Techniques" at 2:30pm and "Container Planting" at 3:30pm.
Bring your own container or purchase one from the huge selection at the shop. Martin or a Garden Club member will help you with your selection of plants. You pay for the plants and Martin will furnish the treated soil. Take home your completed container to enjoy for the summer months.
Martin has been generous and supported the Garden Club through the years with a percentage of the day’s sales for the beautification efforts of the club.
As always free refreshments are available in the shop for your enjoyment.
If your time is limited, gift certificates are available. Rain date is Friday, May 25th.
