The Artillery Company of Newport will sponsor a slide-talk by author-historian Walter Schroder, at their 23 Clarke Steet headquarters-museum in Newport, starting 6:00 PM (1800 Hrs) on June 30, 2012,
The Speaker will discuss the role of Rhode Island's 243rd Coast Atillery Regiment in the defense of the State's coastline during WW-II, now in its10th printing.
The presentation is combined with a tour of the Company's Museum for which voluntary donations will be accepted. A book signing will follow.
