Green Grocer's Criticism of Kashi Goes Viral

The grocery store's signs about not selling Kashi have "gone viral."

's decision to pull Kashi-brand cereal and other products has "gone viral," according to the online magazine, Examiner.com. 

Examiner.com reports the Green Grocer owners' decision to pull Kashi and other brands off the shelves is now circulating around the Web. 

Sites like Healthful Mama, Total Lifestyle, and Delicious Obsessions are among those that have shared the image of the Kashi sign with their fans on Facebook.

"It's nice to see a grocery store with integrity!" Delicious Obsessions said in its post of the photo.

In February, , who at the time pulled several food brands off his shelves, including Kashi, after reading a report from The Cornucopia Institute.

Among the brands removed from the store were Kashi, Barbara's Bakery and Bear Naked. All of the brands were removed for different reasons related to products being "genetically modified," Wood said. 

Small, yellow signs, explaining the brand's removal, were placed around the grocery store. The signs can be seen in the photos above.
