Fall River Man Dies From Injuries Sustained in Motorcycle Crash
The victim of a motorcycle crash in Portsmouth was pronounced dead Tuesday morning at a Providence hospital.

Jeffrey Martins, 34, of Fall River, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning at Rhode Island Hospital, said hospital spokesperson Gail Francis. His family has been notified.
Martins was being treated at Rhode Island Hospital for injuries sustained in a serious motorcycle crash on Saturday around 1:30 a.m.

A motorcycle was traveling north on West Main Road in Portsmouth near Locust Avenue when the operator lost control and struck a guardrail, police said.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

Martins was first transported to Charlton Hospital in Fall River and then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
The cause of the accident is under police investigation.
