Former Bristol Resident Opens Chocolate Shop at Old Almy Village
Carl Silvia recently opened his first business at the historic Old Almy House.
As if sticking to those New Year's resolutions weren't difficult enough, there's now a tempting chocolate shop in town!Â
Luckily, this shop also offers sugar-free candy, energy drinks and even "health bars" for children.Â
Carl Silvia, formerly of Bristol, recently opened his shop Design Chocolates at the Historic 1730 Almy House, located at 1016 East Main Road.Â

The shop is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only cash is accepted.Â
This is Silvia's first business. Silvia said he plans to move to Portsmouth in the near future. "I like the community and Aquidneck Island," he said.Â

Silvia also said his shop is "the first of its kind." However, Silvia would not explain this further or answer other questions about the business.Â
