Why Go: If you're not doing the Corned Beef and Cabbage thing tonight for St. Patrick's Day, here's a thought. You can enjoy a bird's eye view and a sumptous three-course dinner at Fluke Wine and Bar Kitchen in Newport, while supporting the Norman Bird Sanctuary (NBS). - Dance with Your Dog
When/Where:Â Potter Animal Shelter, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown, Friday, March 18, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go:Â Because you and your dog should know how to do the Irish jig! Participants must call to pre-register and dogs must be 5 months of age or older.

- Chow Down at Brick Alley for a Baseball Cause
When/Where: Friday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. at Brick Alley Pub in Newport.
Why Go: Fundraiser to raise money for Portsmouth Middle School Baseball and Softball, as well as Portsmouth Babe Ruth. Many prizes will be raffled off, including a pro-certified maple bat (32"), a Nokona glove, an ITZ polo, a signed bat from Ryan Westmoreland, Sakonnet Vineyards wine basket, Edward Jones portfolio review, Red Sox T-shirt and license plate frame, Invidia Spa visit, Buck Showalter signed ball and $25 Brick Alley gift certificate. Event will also include food, speakers and more!

- Elizabeth Cook at Common Fence Point
When/Where: , 933 Anthony Road, Portsmouth, Saturday, March 19, 8 p.m., but doors open at 7 p.m. for the pre-show folk tail-gate party.
Why go: Part of the Picnic Series: BYOB and food, kick back and hear Elizabeth Cook, a singer/songwriter with a twang.
Pricing: $22
When/Where: Monday, March 21, 6:30 p.m., at the Seaconnet Sportsman's Club, 145 Sakonnet Drive, Portsmouth
Why Go:Â It's a fun way to support the charitable work of the Porstmouth Lions Club. Their tribute evening to "The King" Elvis Presley includes a cash bar, dinner and the show starts at 8 p.m.
