There's lots to do this weekend right here in town, from charitable events to great folk music at Common Fence Point.
You don't have to go far to find something to do this weekend from getting "All Shook Up" with a certain King or relaying for life.Â

- Relay for Life
When/Where: Starts at 6 p.m., Friday, May 20, at the Gaudet Middle School, 1113 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown.
Why Go: If you've never been to an event like this, or even if you have, stop by and be awestruck. Teams honor loved ones lost or affected by cancer; they walk the track throughout the night and there is a moving ceremony that lights up the night.
Pricing: Free to attend the events
When/Where: Sakonnet Sportsmen Club, 145 Sakonnet Drive, Portsmouth, May 21, 6:30 to 11 p.m.
Why Go:Â Elvis impersonator Donny Romines will have you "All Shook Up."Â Dinner, show, raffle, door prizes, and a great trip down memory lane. Sponsored by the Portsmouth Lions Club; will benefit the group's charitable work.
Pricing: $25 per person.
- Music at Common Fence Point
When/Where: Saturday, May 21, 8 p.m., Common Fence Point Hall.
Why Go: See Susan Werner, a contemporary folk singer/songwriter, performs as part of the Picnic Series at Common Fence Point. Her most recent album is "Kicking the Beehive."

- Laughter at the Abbey
When/where:Â Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m., Portsmouth Abbey School, 285 Cory's Lane.
Why Go: See a new comedy, "The Craving," performed by the talented young people at Portsmouth Abbey School. The price is right, too!
Pricing: Â $5
- The Spring Fair
When/Where:Â St. Philomena School, 324 Cory's Lane, Portsmouth, Sunday, May 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go:Â This is the 43rd annual Spring Fair at St. Phil's, a Catholic elementary School. Take a trip down the Lane and enjoy games, carnival rides, prizes, pony rides, raffles, music, and a huge flea market and clothing sale, and so much more.
Pricing: No admission, but bring some cash with you for food, games, and that fantastic flea market and clothing sale.
