Housekeeper Allegedly Cleans Up With Stolen Credit Cards

Housekeeper arrested for allegedly stealing credit cards
June Crum, 60, of Pawtucket, was arrested on Sept. 10 for allegedly stealing credit cards from a Portsmouth residence.

Police received a report on Sept. 4 from a Hummocks Avenue resident, who reported her debit and credit cards were missing from her home. An investigation led police to Crum, a house cleaner at the residence, who was called to the police station for questioning.
Police say they discovered the cards were used at businesses in Providence and Cranston. A total of $750 was spent using the cards.

Crum was arrested at the police station and charged with larceny under $1,500.
Man allegedy violates No Contact Order
Gabriel Merced, 30, of Providence, was arrested on Sept. 11 at 12:30 a.m. after a motor vehicle stop on Bristol Ferry Road. The vehicle was stopped for operating erratically.
A check revealed Merced was ordered not to contact a passenger within the vehicle, a 24-year-old Middletown woman.
Merced was arrested and charged with violating a No Contact Order.
Teen arrested after allegedly swiping cash
A 14-year-old Portsmouth boy was arrested on Sept. 11 after allegedly taking $450 from a residence in Portsmouth.
An East Main Road resident reported missing cash from their home. An investigation showed someone entered through an unlocked door and took $450 from a dresser drawer.
The teen was later arrested and charged with breaking and entering. He was turned over to the custody of his parents. The case has been referred to Family Court.
Boston woman charged with larceny
Monique Drouillard, 19, of Boston, was arrested on Sept. 12 and charged with larceny under $1,500.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on June 12. Police say a check, reported stolen from a Tiverton business, was cashed at Bank Newport on that day. The check totaled $1,256.
An investigation led police to Drouillard, who was arrested by Middletown police and later transported to the Portsmouth police station.
