Jim Seveney Discusses Road Improvements with DOT's Robert Smith

Town Council president Jim Seveney hosted the 4 April 2014 edition of Portsmouth this Week, interviewing RI Department of Transportation's Deputy Director of Engineering, Robert Smith, about plans for improving Portsmouth's state roads. Topics included the planned "road diet" and resurfacing on Bristol Ferry Road, the status of the "Town Center" plan on East Main Road between the Clement's/Turnpike Avenue intersection and Town Hall, which involves two roundabouts, projected improvements on Sprague Street and other local projects. The interview was highly informative as it combined perspectives on the maintenance of our roads from both the local and state levels.
