July Editions of PTW Look at Group Visit to our Namesake City in the UK

The PTW crew is taking a break during the month of July, except for Producer/Director Rich Talipsky, who has put together a short video series highlighting the visit of five local representatives to Portsmouth, UK. The group, consisting of Gary Gump, Bob Hamilton, Rich Talipsky, Andrew Kelly, and me, attended several events commemorating the 70th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June, 1944, and represented Portsmouth, RI, at the Lord Mayor "making" ceremony, at which our special 375th anniversary guest last year, Lord Mayor Lynn Stagg, turned her badges of office over to the new Lord Mayor, Stephen Wylie. They also presented a Proclamation of thanks at the first meeting of the new Portsmouth, UK, City Council from our Town Council.

The first in this video series shows the various D-Day celebratory events that we attended, which included the Drum Head Ceremony on the Southsea Common, where Princess Anne reviewed representatives from the various service branches. This video is available for viewing at http://youtu.be/H9NOoTvHO5g and will also be shown on Public Access TV, Cox Channel 18.
