Kids Get Hands-On Safety Lessons at National Night Out

Parents and children learned about probably safety Thursday night at Easton's Beach.

Local law enforcement agencies and volunteers came together Thursday night at Eastons Beach in Newport to promote health, wellness and safety as part of National Night Out.

"National Night Out For Safety has become very well known nationally," said Gwen George, Supervising Records Officer, Newport Police Department and founder of the event locally.
