Lanes Closed For Boyd Lane Water Main Work Wed., Thu

The Portsmouth Water and Fire District will be performing water main work on a portion of Boyd Lane in both directions on Wednesday and Thursday, which will likely result in delays.

The water district said in a release on Monday that the work will be on the southeast side of the Route 24 northbound off-ramp in both the north and southbound lanes.

The work will begin each morning at 7:30 a.m. and traffic will be shifted into two “narrow” lanes, one for each direction.

If you can, find a different route if your commute takes you through the work zone, the water district recommends. In addition to backups during rush hour, construction vehicles will be entering and leaving the work area.
