Letter To The Editor: Portsmouth Middle School's Window To The World

The eighth-grade students will present 'A Window To The World' on Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. at the middle school.

June 5, 2017

Dear Patch:

Portsmouth Middle School’s Eighth Grade Class has been working on an interdisciplinary project for the past six weeks that incorporates the Portuguese and Spanish curriculums with English/Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies. It is a research based project that has enabled students to become familiar
with the language and culture of many countries whose society speaks Portuguese and/or Spanish. With the help of their teachers, students have been exploring such topics as gastronomy, arts, government, scientific innovations, and challenges facing their selected country. The culminating activity is “A Window to the
World” where students will present their projects to families and other members of the community.
