Letter: Thank You, Portsmouth, For Making Mistletoe Madness a Success

The Friends of the Glen Manor House want to thank the community for their support of the first Mistletoe Madness event on Dec. 5.

To the editor,

On behalf of Friends of the Glen Manor House, I want to thank all of those that attended our first Mistletoe Madness event on December 5. For 39 years, our annual Holly Ball was the opening to the holiday season, but we decided to change the design of the evening to be very different this year. We wanted to attract a more diverse crowd with less formality and the result was a sold out event.

Our 175 guests sipped cocktails and sampled food from the many area caterers that we have worked with through the years, while dancing and celebrating the Yuletide season. Our goal was to reach out to past and present clients, inviting them to come experience a wonderful holiday event at the Glen Manor House and take interest in it’s preservation and the future.

The success of our event would not have been possible without our sponsors and I want to thank them for their generosity and assistance in launching this wonderful event. I extend a sincere thank you to Allen’s Wine and Spirits, Blackstone Caterers, Glorious Affairs Catering, GQ and the Lady, Island Garden Shop, Pranzi Catering, Russell Morin Fine Catering, Rentals Unlimited, and Valet Connection.

Thank you to all who have supported us, as we are dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and maintenance of the Glen Manor House for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
