Two of our local legislators who have been instrumental in drafting a proposal for funding the state's infrastructure and keeping tolls off the Sakonnet River and Mt. Hope bridges, Representative Jaye Edwards (District 70) and Senator Chris Ottiano (District 11), were our guests on PTW this week, providing an update on the content and status of their important bill (H7432). They also discussed the need for the rapid passage of a separate bill (H7569) has been filed to postpone bridge trolling from 1 April to 1 July. This delay will allow time for the infrastructure maintenance bill to get a full hearing at the State House.
