Man, 26, Charged Following Portsmouth Stabbing

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A 26-year-old man is facing charges following a stabbing in Portsmouth last week, police said.

The incident was reported July 7, Portsmouth police said, when a 46-year-old man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with stab wounds. The victim did not identify the attacker and no suspects were identified at the scene, police said.

Two days later, police identified the suspect, and Kenneth Young, 26, was arrested Monday and charged with felony assault. He was later arraigned in Newport Division District Court.
