Meet the Portsmouth Town Council Candidates Thursday Night

Portsmouth Concerned Citizens is hosting a candidate forum at Town Hall Thursday and most candidates have accepted the invite.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Portsmouth residents unsure how to vote in the upcoming Town Council race this November have a chance to meet the candidates Thursday night at a candidate forum hosted by Portsmouth Concerned Citizens.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. at Portsmouth Town Hall in council chambers.

"In past elections, the PCC has held candidates’ nights as a service to Portsmouth voters participating in the November general elections," a news release stated. "This election will be conducted during a presidential election, which is likely to dominate the media. It is our intent to provide more exposure to Town Council candidates so that the voters may make a more reasoned choice at the polls. At this point a number of candidates have responded favorably to our request to be at this forum."
