Mendonca Named to House Committees

PORTSMOUTH, RI—State Rep. Ken Mendonca (R-District 72 Middletown, Portsmouth) has been named to several House Committees, including the House Finance Committee.

According to the House Minority Office press release, on the finance committee, "he will concentrate his efforts on the subcommittee for General Government, the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs, as well as the subcommittee for Environment/Transportation."

Rep. Mendonca said, “I am honored to sit on the House Finance Committee, where I find it a welcomed opportunity to review legislation regarding public finance.”

“As a member of the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs, I am eager to work with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to discuss meaningful legislation impacting the lives of Rhode Island veterans and those currently in military service,” he added.

Rep. Mendonca also serves on the subcommittee for Environment/Transportation.

"I am extremely fortunate to live in a beautiful coastal community and enjoy the extraordinary beaches, water, parks and open spaces," he said. "I look forward to serving on this subcommittee and working with my fellow members to protect and improve our uniquely beautiful environment for us and for future generations to enjoy."
