Newport's Salas Restaurant To Permanently Close Saturday After 60 Years

The restaurant, located at 343 Thames St., will close its doors for good this Saturday.

After almost 60 years of serving the Newport community, is about to close its doors.

According to the Newport Buzz, the “Newport institution” will be closed for good on Jan. 14, rather than the original closing date of Feb. 6.

The restaurant . A family restaurant, Salas served a mix of Italian food, Asian cuisine and seafood. It's located at 343 Thames St.
