As an accomplished songwriter, guitarist and vocalist, Brian was passionate about music and devoted time to practicing his art. His work brought joy to others and provided a vehicle for many to praise and worship the Lord. To hear Brian play was truly a blessing to those around him. He has recorded two CDs, www.brianfoxmusic.com and functioned as a guitarist on the worship team at the Evangelical Friends Church (EFC) of Newport, Rhode Island.

Brian graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1977 and he pursued additional education at Barrington College, completing an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies. His passions and life mission continued on, flourishing in his music and the study of God’s word. His thoughtful study also led to Brian being a published author of The Seed.

He also impacted those around him in so many unique ways. His job involved driving a bus for the Portsmouth School District. Many young children thought he looked so much like Santa Claus when he wore his beard long and white. It was not uncommon to hear him say to the young kids, “Ho, ho, ho. Now you can cross and go,” when he wore a Santa hat during the Christmas season. The kids loved it. He would also joke often with them saying things like: “You can cross, if you flossed” .

You could also find Brian and the boys spending Saturday morning going to garage sales. One fond memory is the morning starting off with buying breakfast milkshakes to begin the day. It will remain a cherished family memory.

Brian’s wife Veronica would like to thank all for the wonderful prayers and support provided over the last several days. She has said that “I will praise the Lord at all times and his praises shall continually be in my mouth” in the midst of her deep grief and sorrow. Psalm 34:1
