Obituary: Joseph "Pat" Doyle, Jr., 61

Joseph “Pat” Doyle, Jr., 61, of Park Avenue, Portsmouth RI, died on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Providence, RI.

He was the husband of the late Valerie (Kollman) Doyle.

Born in Fall River, MA on June 30, 1953, he was the son of the late Joseph Patrick Doyle, Sr. and Norma G. (Vallencourt) Doyle.

Mr. Doyle was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He graduated in the third graduating class of Portsmouth High School where he was a talented soccer player.

He is survived by his sisters and brother, Patricia Jordan of Texas, Sharon Denomme and Irene Tokarski, both of Portsmouth, RI, and Peter John Doyle of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John Peter Doyle and Charles Joseph Doyle, and his sister, Norma Gertrude Pike.

Calling hours were held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 4-7 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.

His funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11 am in the funeral home.

Burial with Military Honors will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Portsmouth High School Soccer Program.
