Obituary: Noreen Eileen (Mello) Critchley, 65

Noreen E. (Mello) Critchley, 65, of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center, Newport. She was the wife of Charles F. Critchley. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of Mary (Souza) Mello of Portsmouth and the late Edward S. Mello Sr.

Besides her husband of 42 years and her mother, she leaves a daughter Renée Critchley of Portsmouth. Noreen is also survived by her brother John Mello and sister Linda Calabretta both of Portsmouth and her brother Allen Mello of Little Compton.

She was the sister of the late Edward Mello and Marie Dietz.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will take place in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the funeral home.
