Patriots Take On Islanders Today
Portsmouth travels to Gaudet Middle School to settle the Aquidneck Island Thanksgiving Day rivalry.
MIDDLETOWN, RI— The Turkey Cup game is at 10 a.m. at Gaudet Middle School, Turner Road.
The Patriots (5-2 in regular Division I-A season play) went as far as the semifinal round in the playoffs. They beat Cranston East 35-22 and then lost to Bishop Hendricken 47-27.
Middletown (4-3 in Division II-B) ended the regular season a game behind the North Kingstown Skippers. In the playoffs, they lost a 2-point heart breaker to the Moses Brown Quakers in the quarterfinal round.
