Workers were seen installing new floor tiles at Hathaway Elementary School on Wednesday.
The first day of school may still be two weeks away, but was bustling with activity Wednesday morning.
Workers were installing new floor tiles in several classrooms. Classroom furniture lined the hallways due to the work.
Approximately three to four classrooms will receive new floor tiles prior to the first day of school for teachers on Aug. 30. Students start their first day of classes on Aug. 31.

The classrooms were in need of this "upgrade" for some time, said Principal Robert Ettinger.
