PHOTOS: Portsmouth Firefighters Experience More Training

Members of the  traveled to the Fall River Fire Department Academy for more training recently. 

Earlier this month,  at the state facility at no cost to the town. 

This training was the first of a series classes that the Fall River Fire Department will be providing. This training is being provided in exchange for Portsmouth's old Engine 3, which is being used at their training facility.

The original agreement was that Fall River would train newly hired firefighters in exchange for the truck. However, with Portsmouth's own certified instructors, the basic training was provided at very little cost to the town.

Fall River is now providing Portsmouth Fire with advanced technical rescue training to permanent firefighters and probationary firefighters.
