Police Investigating Holiday Break-In
Homeowner wonders if recent yard sale attracted the suspected culprit.
An East Main Road house was burglarized and two laptops, a wallet and a jar of change were stolen sometime between Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, police said.
The resident reported coming home at around 5 p.m. on Dec. 26 and saw damage to a basement door window, a knocked over garbage can, and other evidence of a break-in.

Police said the suspect left behind a bloody towel and a full cup of Cumberland Farms coffee on the rear porch.
The resident said he is in the process of moving out and had a yard sale on Dec. 20, which might have attracted a possible culprit.

The laptops were found the following day after police were dispatched to Ray’s Towing on East Main Road for a report of found property.
Police are investigating.
