Police Log: Massachusetts Man Allegedly Breaks Car Windshield With Foot

Man allegedly visits pad, steals iPad
Justin Westley, 31, of 806 Wapping Road, Portsmouth, was arrested Friday at 12:30 a.m. at his residence. Westley was wanted on an affidavit arrest warrant for allegedly stealing an iPad and camera from a Portsmouth home.

Police received a complaint from a 28-year-old Portsmouth woman. The victim said Westley allegedly visited her home on July 3. When he left, she noticed an iPad and camera missing.
Westley was arrested and charged with larceny over $500.

Man arrested at home for allegedly driving under the influence
Drivers, just because you make it home, doesn't mean you can't be charged for driving under the influence (DUI).
Michael Faria, 55, of 51 Ferreira Terrace, Portsmouth, was arrested Sunday at 1:15 a.m. at his home.
Police were first called to a motor vehicle crash on Dexter Street. A vehicle had struck a parked car and fled the area at 12:38 a.m. However, the vehicle left behind a piece of evidence — its license plate.
Police tracked the license plate back to its owner, Faria. Officers say they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breathe.
According to police, Faria failed a field sobriety test and, after being transported to the police station, failed a chemical test. He was arrested and charged with DUI.
MA man smashes vehicle windshield — with his foot
Joshua Haddad, 33, of Walpole, MA, was arrested Monday at 1:45 a.m. after police were called to the Xtra Mart on West Main Road for a possible disturbance.
Haddad was a passenger in a vehicle coming from Newport. A 37-year-old Norwood, MA, woman was driving the vehicle.
Haddad apparently became involved in an argument with the woman. During the argument, he allegedly kicked the vehicle's windshield, breaking it with his foot.
He also allegedly ripped off the rearview mirror and threw the woman's cell phone out the window. He also allegedly grabbed the woman's arm, causing bruising.
Haddad was arrested and charged with domestic, vandalism, and domestic, simple assault. He was held overnight at the police station.
Newport man allegedly sends harassing texts
Steven Kenyon, 44, of 43 Mertin Road, Newport, was arrested Monday at 10:45 a.m. at the police station.
A 45-year-old Portsmouth woman told police Kenyon sent her harassing text messages. When she asked Kenyon to stop, he allegedly continued to send the messages.
Police obtained an affidavit arrest warrant for Kenyon, who turned himself in at the police station Monday.
