Police Log: Portsmouth Man Arrested for DUI Near Police Station
A Massachusetts man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI) Tuesday after police stopped his vehicle in front of the police station.

A Duxbury, MA, man was arrested Tuesday night after his vehicle was stopped on East Main Road near the Portsmouth Police Station.
Dean Dasuta, 43, was arrested, and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Police responded to the area around 9:45 p.m. after receiving a report of an erratic operator in the vicinity. Police stopped a motor vehicle, operated by Dasuta, on East Main Road near the police station, said Lt. Brian Peters.

Police say they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the operator. Dasuta was given a field sobriety test at the scene, which he failed, according to Peters.
Dasuta was then transported to the police station, where he allegedly refused a chemical test. He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
