Police Log: Man Arrested After Motor Vehicle Stop
Portsmouth police made the following arrests.

The following is a list of arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department from Friday, Feb. 4, through Monday, Feb. 7. The information provided is based solely on police reports.
- David Perlingiero, 44, of 1134 West Main Road, Portsmouth, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 4, at 4 p.m. after a motor vehicle stop. A vehicle, operated by Perlingiero, was stopped on East Main Road at Glen Road for an alleged equipment violation—loud exhaust. After a license check, police learned Perlingiero was wanted on a bench warrant, which was issued by Second District Court for failure to appear at an ability to pay hearing. Police also searched the vehicle, where they say they found a can containing a small bag of marijuana and other marijuana paraphernalia. Perlingiero was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was transported to the police station and released after appearing before a justice of the peace.
- Andrew Turcotte, 19, of 19 Coldbrook Road, Little Compton, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 5. Turcotte was wanted on a bench warrant issued by Second District Court for failure to appear at a review. A vehicle, operated by Turcotte, was stopped on Saturday around 12:30 a.m. on West Main Road near Melville Elementary School for an alleged equipment violation—headlight burnt out. A check on the driver's license revealed Turcotte was wanted on the bench warrant.
