Police Log: Portsmouth Resident Arrested After Allegedly Striking Man in Face with Fists

Brent Bowen, 40, of Portsmouth, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with domestic, simple assault.

A Portsmouth resident was arrested on this week after allegedly striking a 40-year-old man in the face with his fists.

Brent Bowen, 40, of 71 Ferreira Terrace, Portsmouth, turned himself in at the on Wednesday, Feb. 9., at 1:45 p.m.

Bowen was wanted for questioning in connection with an incident that occurred earlier that day at a residence on West Main Road.

A 40-year-old man had apparently become involved in an argument with the suspect around 11:30 a.m. During the argument, Bowen allegedly struck the man in the face with his fists, causing bruising and scratching around the victim's eye, police said.

Bowen was arrested at the station and charged with domestic, simple assault.
