Police Log: Tiverton Man Arrested for Alleged Domestic Assault

Kyle Scanlon, 27, of Tiverton, was arrested Monday evening and charged with domestic, simple assault.

Police responded Monday at approximately 4:45 p.m. to a residence on Cathy Circle to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

A 27-year-old female Portsmouth resident told officers that the suspect had pushed and shoved her against a wall, police said. The victim also told officers that Scanlon pushed a door against her, causing her to fall.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived, police said. The suspect was later arrested that evening in Tiverton and turned over to the custody of Portsmouth police.

Scanlon was arraigned Tuesday morning.
