Portsmouth Begins Christmas Tree Recycling Jan. 5
Trees are picked up on a schedule based on voting wards.

You might still be feeling the holiday spirit, but it’ s just about time for that Christmas tree to come down.
In Portsmouth, trees will be picked up starting Jan. 5 and will be turned into mulch that will be available for free to Portsmouth residents.

Precincts 2702 and 2703. You voted at: Portsmouth Senior Center (2702) or Common Fence Point
Community Hall (2703)
TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2015
Precinct 2704. You voted at: Portsmouth High School (2704)

NOTE:
- Trees must be placed at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.
- Trees must not be in plastic bags and must be totally stripped of ALL decorations and tinsel.
- Residents that miss their pick up date can also bring Christmas trees to the Department of Public Works located off Hedly Street. Trees will NOT be accepted at the Transfer Station.
- Trees will be recycled into mulch that will be available free of charge to Portsmouth residents. For more information on when mulch is available, contact Portsmouth Public Works at 683-0362.
