Portsmouth Businesses Net $1.2 Million In Small Business Loans
Portsmouth businesses topped Rhode Island communities in the amount of small business loans received in 2011.

Portsmouth businesses were among the top five Rhode Island communities to receive the most funds in loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration at the close of 2011, reports Providence Business News (PBN).Â
According to PBN, Portsmouth businesses received seven loans, totaling more than $1.2 million during the last quarter of 2011.Â
These awards were included in the more than 61 loans (totaling $9.1 million) distributed by the SBA between October and December to companies throughout the state.Â
