Portsmouth Church Celebrates New Ministry

Rev. Jennifer L. Pedrick will be installed as the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church’s 15th rector at a service held on Thursday, Oct. 23.

The service begins at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, located at 324 East Main Road.

Pedrick will be formally installed by the Bishop of Rhode Island, Rt. Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely, the Providence Journal reported.

Additionally, St. Mary’s sexton Larry Bettencourt is retiring Sunday. The church will hold a morning coffee hour at 9 a.m. on Sunday to bid him farewell.
