Portsmouth Looking for Town's "Top Dog"
Is your pooch worthy? Submit a pic when you send in your license renewal.

PORTSMOUTH, RI—Rhode Islanders are known for coveting low-number license plates.
Now, one Portsmouth pooch can have his or her dog-tag bragging rights, too.
Portsmouth is looking for the town’s “Top Dog” as part of a lighthearted contest connected to the annual registration of dog licenses.

Entering is easy: submit a picture of your dog when you send in your license renewal form.
The winner will get dog tag No. 1. Runner up will get tag No. 2 and third will get No. 3.

Entries can be delivered at the Town Clerk’s office at 2200 East Main Road or sent by mail. All entries and registrations must be sent by April 30.
Photos won’t be returned, so be sure to send a copy.
The winner will be recognized at the town’s May 9 Town Council meeting.
