Portsmouth Resident Finds Man Trapped in Vehicle in River

The man has reportedly been released from the hospital.

A Rehoboth police officer is credited with rescuing a Warren man from Palmer River Saturday.

Bree Krasnianski used her water rescue skills to pull 46-year-old Scott MacDougall out of his vehicle in the river, according to the Sun Chronicle.

NBC10 reports that a Portsmouth man, Ed Ferreria, was driving on Route 6 when he spotted the vehicle in the water and called police. Krasnianski was the first to respond.

The accident is still under investigation, according to NBC10.
