Portsmouth Town Council Honors Outgoing Superintendent Susan Lusi

The Portsmouth Town Council honored Superintendent of Schools Susan Lusi at Monday's meeting at Town Hall.

Outgoing Superintendent of Schools was honored at Monday's Portsmouth Town Council meeting with a proclamation and standing ovation.

Town Council President Joe Robicheau presented a proclamation to Lusi, congratulating her on her six-year career in Portsmouth.

"During Dr. Lusi's time as superintendent of schools, she has continued to work tirelessly toward the goal of strengthening the academic focus, which is evidenced by an increase in student achievement at all levels," Robicheau read from the proclamation.

Lusi, who announced in January she would not renew her with Portsmouth schools, will go on to serve as interim superintendent for the Providence School District.
