Portsmouth Woman Ordered to Pay $95K in Restitution

Judith A. Rosenbaum of 125 Heidi Drive was ordered Tuesday to pay $95,000 in restitution after being charged with passing a bad check.

Judith Rosenbaum, 66, of 125 Heidi Drive, pleaded "no contest" Tuesday in Superior Court to charges of psasing a bad check, unlawfully appropriating money and  obtaining money under false pretenses. 

The charges were brought against Rosenbaum after she allegedly ordered $129,592 worth of cabinents for her home from a Massachusetts company. She allegedly failed to pay for the purchase.

Judge Melanie Wilk Thunberg ordered Rosenbaum to pay $95,000 in restitution and imposed a fine of $1,170 for court costs. The judge also imposed a seven-year suspended sentence and a seven-year probation.
