Rally To Be Held Wednesday for Olympic Medalist

Rhode Island will welcome home its biggest star of the 2012 Summer Olympics this Wednesday. WJAR-TV (Channel 10) is organizing a homecoming rally for North Kingstown native Elizabeth Beisel on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. at .

According to North Kingstown School Superintendent Phil Auger, the rally will be held on the athletic field at the high school. Those planning to attend the event are encouraged to wear their and to bring signs.

Beisel, a 2010 graduate of North Kingstown High School, is returning home to Rhode Island after competing in her second Olympics at the age of 19. During the 2008 Olympics, she was the youngest member of the U.S. Swim Team at 15-years-old.
