Reilly Beats Finn in House District 72

Dan Reilly sailed to victory with a 54 to 46 percent margin.

The Republican who lost his seat to Democrat Linda Finn in Portsmouth’s House District 72 in 2012 has re-won his seat.

Daniel P. Reilly garnered 2,917 votes, or 54 percent, and thanked his supporters on Facebook shortly after polls closed.

“We have won!!” Reilly said. “A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible - this was the hardest fought campaign ever and we won big!!”

Finn said she had a “tough loss” but took consolation in the victory of Gina Raimondo, who sailed to victory over challengers Allan W. Fung and Bob Healey.

“I am so thrilled that Gina is our next Governor!” she said.
