Senator Jack Reed Visits Portsmouth Senior Center

Senator Jack Reed visited the Portsmouth Multi Purpose Senior Center on Friday and spoke with many local seniors about health and wellness. 

Reed joined the University of Rhode Island Pharmacy Outreach Program at the senior center to discuss ways individuals can take control of their asthma, as well as aspects of the health insurance reform law that help make their health care more affordable. 

The new law has already helped Rhode Islanders on Medicare save about $15.1 million on prescription drugs, according to a release.
