Sign Up Now for Summer's End 5K in Portsmouth
It's a flat, fast and lovely course for walkers, runners and baby strollers and it's all to support local scholarships.
It’s time to sign up for the annual Summer’s End 5k run/walk in Portsmouth.
The event is set for Sept. 26 and offers scenic views on a flat and enjoyable course that is open to leashed pets and baby strollers in addition to runners and walkers.
Along with getting some exercise, fresh air and a dose of Rhode Island beauty, participants can feel good about supporting the annual scholarship program run by the Portsmouth Business Association.

The PBA, which hosts the event, doles out scholarships to two deserving Portsmouth High School students every year.
Registration is $20 per person through Sept. 24. Registration on the day of the event will be $25.

Sport-tek running shirts will be guaranteed for the first 100 registrants. Trophies and custom medals will be awarded for each age division.
