Special Needs Registry for Portsmouth Emergencies

The registry will identify residents who may need assistance during emergency situations.

Portsmouth Fire Department is encouraging anyone who may need assistance during emergency situations to sign up for the Special Needs Registry.

The registry will help emergency officials know who to look out for during weather and safety emergencies.

Those who are eligible to sign up for the Special Needs Registry include:

  • Anyone who uses life support such as oxygen, dialysis, insulin use for diabetes, a ventilator or a respirator.
  • Anyone with a mobility disability and uses a wheelchair, walker or cane.
  • Citizens who are visually impaired
  • People who are hearing impaired
  • Those with speech disabilities
  • Individuals with cognitive disabilities
  • People with developmental disabilities
  • Those who use a service animal
