State Fire Marshal's Office: Fire on Stolen Boat Was Intentionally Set
The fire is now under criminal investigation by Portsmouth police. No arrests have been made.

The fire found engulfing a boat along the Sakonnet River early Sunday morning was intentionally set, said investigator David Scott of the State Fire Marshal's Office Wednesday.
"Basically, it is an incendiary fire, meaning it was a set fire," Scott said. "It is under criminal investigation."
Scott would not comment further on what incendiary tool was used to set the blaze.
