Students Give Pints for Parking Spaces
The Rhode Island Blood Center holds drive at Portsmouth High School.
The Rhode Island Blood Center saw more than 50 donors turnout at a blood drive held Monday at Portsmouth High School. The blood drive, which was open to students and non-students, was sponsored by radio station WBRU.
In exchange for donating, students were given "privileged" parking spaces at the high school. Donors also received VIP seating passes to WBRU's free concert featuring the band OK Go. More than 50 pints of blood were collected to help save lives.
