UPDATED: Four Victims Transported By Rescue After Car Crash

Four victims were transported by Rescue after a car crash Wednesday afternoon.

Updated at 3:23 p.m. 

Four people are being transported to a nearby hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two-car crash occurred at the intersection of East Main Road and Glen Road. 

The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 2:53 p.m. At least four victims are being transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries, according to Capt. Michael O'Brien, spokesperson for the Portsmouth Fire Department.

None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, O'Brien said. 

The victims include two women, a man and a toddler. All four victims were transported to Newport Hospital.

Rescue personnel from the Middletown, Portsmouth and Naval Station Newport responded to the scene. Portsmouth police also directed traffic around the crash.

 The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
