Tiverton High School Evacuated After Threat Made

Tiverton High School is being evacuated this morning after a threat was made, according to Tiverton Police.

Tiverton High School is being evacuated on Thursday morning after a threat was made, according to police. No injuries were reported. 

Capt. Patrick Jones of the Tiverton Police Department would not comment as to the nature of the threat, but said students and faculty began evacuating around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

"I cannot confirm why, but no one was injured, there is not a threat, but we are evacuating the high school at this time given that a threat that was made," said Jones.

The school department is making arrangements with the First Student, the bus company, to bring students home.
