Transfer Station Stickers On Sale Jan. 16
The sale of stickers has been delayed due to "unforeseen circumstances."

If you were planning on getting your Portsmouth Transfer Station stickers anytime soon, hit the pause button.
The sale of the tickets for 2015 have been delayed until Jan. 16 due to “unforeseen circumstances,” the town has announced.
Stickers will be available at the tax collector’s office at Portsmouth Town Hall during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To make life easier for some residents, the town will open the office on two upcoming Saturdays: Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for sticker sales.
Tickets are $135 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle. Ticket sales are limited to Portsmouth residents and you need to bring a copy of your vehicle registration to show it is registered in Portsmouth. If your car is leased, you can bring proof of automobile insurance.

The Transfer Station is for the disposal of residential household waste only. No waste from businesses, contractors, landscapers, or any form of commercial or agricultural activity is accepted. Recycling is mandated by state law.
For full details of the program, please go to http://www.portsmouthri.com/182/Transfer-Station-Solid-Waste. When you receive your sticker you will receive Transfer Station Rules, to which you must adhere.
Stickers may also be obtained through the mail using the form available on the Town’s website and Town Hall. Mail applications may be deposited in the tax payment drop box at the Town Hall. The Town is not responsible for lost mail applications, however.
The Portsmouth Transfer Station sticker is good for one year, with a grace period through January 31, 2015.
